DBW Event: Rock City Eatery Food + Beer Specials featuring Dark Horse

All during Detroit Beer Week from October 17-27, the newly-opened Rock City Eatery in Hamtramck will offer food + beer pairing specials featuring Michigan's most metal brewery, Dark Horse Brewing Co.!

Rock City's special Dark Horse beer-infused drinks and dishes are:

~Reserve Special Black Ale black velvet cocktail and float with chocolate ice cream
~Raspberry Ale-glazed carrots
~Crooked Tree IPA ramen
~Amber Ale mac + cheese
~Boffo Brown Ale-braised pork shoulder sandwich

Rock City Eatery is the new kid of the block. Opened on September 23, 2013, Rock City Eatery is the new restaurant from "Pie Guy" Nikita Santches, who made a name for himself with Rock City Pies at the Rust Belt Market in Ferndale. The Hamtramck space is totally Detroit Rock City, featuring artwork from Detroit artist and punk songstress Niagara and large canvas-mounted photos of the godparents of punk, Iggy Pop and Patti Smith, back during Detroit's punk rock peak in the '70s by local photographer Kay Young. The menu is also all punk rock, as much as food can demonstrate a punk ethos - think bone marrow fritters and foie gras-stuffed burgers - plus he has tons of Michigan craft beer in bottles and cans.
